About
About Mekong Tour Packages
We sell four fixed Mekong Delta packages, each with the same standard inclusions table and three hotel levels. This page explains why we work that way, what we will not sell, and where other companies will serve you better.
What we do
Mekong Tour Packages sells four fixed packages in the Mekong Delta, from two to six days, starting in Ho Chi Minh City. Each package is a route that does not change, a standard list of what is included that does not change, and a choice of three hotel levels. You pick the package, the dates, the level, the rooms and whether the boats are shared or private. We price every line and send it by email.
The four packages are on the packages page. The places they go are on the destination pages.
Method
Why fixed packages
Most delta trips are sold either as cheap join-in day tours or as tailor-made routes. The first are easy to buy and hard to judge: the coach is shared, the boat is shared, the market is reached late. The second are flexible and hard to compare: no two quotes contain the same things.
A fixed package sits between them. Because the route is fixed, every line in the inclusions table means the same thing every time, and two quotes for the same package can be compared line by line, ours against anyone else's. Because the hotel level is the only thing that changes the room, you can see precisely what a better room costs. That is the product: not a better trip than anyone else's, but a trip you can read before you pay for it.
How we work
- One standard table. The same inclusions, word for word, on every package.
- Three levels, one route. Standard, Superior or Deluxe, described by the room and the location.
- Every line priced. Our quotes show each line of the table with its own figure.
- Third-party fees at cost. Entrance, boat and ferry fees are passed on as their own lines.
- Early where it matters. 05:30 for Cai Rang, 06:00 for Tra Su, because later is worse.
- No shopping stops. Workshops on the route may sell what they make; buying is your choice.
What we do not sell
- Single-day or join-in tours from Ho Chi Minh City
- Private routes drawn from scratch; our routes are fixed
- Luxury hotel stays or river cruises
- Homestay nights
- Packages that cross into Cambodia
These are good trips, sold well by others. They are not what we do, and putting them on this site would blur the one thing we offer: a package you can read line by line.
What we do not do well
- Very large groups. Our packages are built for one party in one vehicle. Above about ten travellers the car, the boats and the small-town hotels stop working the way the table describes.
- Flexibility on the day. Because the route is fixed, we cannot add a town or swap a day once you travel. Weather may reorder visits; it does not rewrite the route.
- Languages other than English. Our guides on these packages speak English. We do not offer other languages and would rather say so than promise them.
- The lowest price on the route. A shared coach with a shared boat will always cost less. If price is the only measure, our packages are not the answer.
- Guided time on Phu Quoc. The island days on the six-day package are free days. We do not run island tours.
Why there are no reviews here
We do not publish testimonials. Quotes chosen by a company for its own website tell you little, and you cannot check them. What you can check is our quote: every line priced, every hotel named once availability is confirmed, every third-party fee shown with its source. Judge us by that, and compare it with anyone else's.
How we use published figures
Where this site gives a number, such as a distance, a ferry time, an entrance fee or a hotel average, it comes from a published source, and we show the source and the date we read it at the end of the section. Where sources disagree, we say so and give a range. Where we could not find a reliable source, we leave the number out. Package prices are on request, by company rule, for the reasons on the pricing page.
Getting in touch
Use the form on any page. We reply by email to the address you give. The contact page explains what to include so the first reply is a useful quote, and how to book sets out the steps after that.
Common questions
Questions travellers ask most
Are you a tour operator or an agency?
We sell packages directly to travellers and arrange the hotels, cars, guides, boats and tickets that go into them. Your written confirmation states who provides each service.
Do you sell packages outside the Mekong Delta?
No. Four delta packages are all we sell.
Can we speak to someone before sending the form?
The form is the way to reach us. We reply by email; send questions in the notes field and we answer them in the same reply as the quote.
Why only four packages?
Because each one has to be written, priced and checked line by line. Four routes cover the delta's main places at two, three, four and six days.
